COVID-19 Vaccine Update

OMC, as a federally qualified health center, has indeed applied for and registered to receive COVID vaccine at Natchitoches, Leesville, & Tallulah clinic sites.  We have been in almost daily contact with state officials involved in distribution across the state.  The distribution will be in phases and the first batch will be to vaccinate our healthcare workers according to CDC guidelines.  Our next batches will be to vaccine our high risk patients, and others, as long as supplies are available.

As of Tuesday, Jan 12th, we have not received our first batch for our healthcare workers.  We understand that many are eager to get protected, and we assure you that as soon as we received vaccine for patients, we will be contacting you.  For now, please call the clinic where you get care and ask the Clinic Manager (or designee) to add you to the contact list for when the vaccine is available.

We understand that vaccine has already been sent to hospitals, pharmacies, and other urban clinics.  If you are high risk, we suggest you contact your local hospital and pharmacies to see where else you might receive the vaccine at this time.  For your health and safety, we want high risk persons to receive the vaccine as soon as possible.
